Job Summary: The Security Guard is responsible for the safety and security of all guests, visitors, employees, and assets of the facility. The Security Guard constantly monitors the premises to identify any safety and security hazards and risks to include potential fires, criminal activity and/or unruly guests and visitors.

The Security Guard is responsible for the safety and security of all guests, visitors, employees, and assets of the facility. The Security Guard constantly monitors the premises to identify any safety and security hazards and risks to include potential fires, criminal activity and/or unruly guests and visitors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall safety and security of the facility, guests, visitors, employees, and assets.
- Patrols property on a regular basis to ensure safe and secure conditions to include monitoring surveillance equipment and physically walking the property.
- Identifies any hazards or risks by inspecting the facility, equipment, and all access points.
- Monitors the activities of guests, visitors, and employees to identify any unsafe or criminal activity.
- Investigates complaints, thefts, accidents, or incidents.
- Understands all safety measures and knows when to sound alarms, obtain assistance and alert law enforcement.
- Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with the goal of resolving issues, escalates when necessary.
- Restrains trespassers and/or guests, visitors, and employees IF the situation warrants.
- Responsible for calling and/or reporting to emergencies services when needed (call 911).
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have a High School Diploma and/or GED.
- Must have a valid NYS Security Guard license.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Prior experience in a similar role highly preferred.
- Must maintain a professional appearance.
- Must be organized and able to multi-task.
- Able to communicate professionally, discreetly, and effectively (both verbally and in writing).
- Able to understand and execute safety, security and emergency policies and procedures.
- Able to understand and operate safety and communication equipment.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb (stairs and ladders), and reach on a regular basis.
- Able to lift, push, and pull approximately 75-100 lbs.
- Able to move immobilized adult if necessary.
